Role Overview: Clinical Development Specialist (CDS)

As a Clinical Development Specialist, you serve as a cornerstone in the successful implementation and expansion of the Epione program within customer sites. Your expertise will guide physicians and clinical teams through the full learning curve of the robotic system, ensuring efficient, safe, and confident usage during real clinical cases.



You will also act as a strategic advisor—strengthening customer relationships, supporting program growth, and maintaining seamless communication between clinical sites and Quantum Surgical’s internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical & Clinical Expertise

  • Provide expert assistance during clinical procedures, including minor system repairs.
  • Train physicians and clinical staff on the proper use of Epione and associated technologies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of product IFUs, best practices, and relevant scientific literature.


2. Program Deployment & Growth

  • Lead site launch activities and ensure smooth installation and onboarding.
  • Guide surgeons through the learning curve and help expand the pool of Epione users.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to maximize visibility during program launches.


3. Relationship Management & Communication

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships across all levels of customer organizations.
  • Track launch timelines and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Provide structured and insightful feedback to internal teams.


4. Maintenance & Operational Support

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and safety checks.
  • Support educational events, conferences, and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Team on customer complaints and technical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biomedical sciences, or related imaging disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging and image transfer protocols.
  • Proven ability to build high-trust relationships in complex clinical settings.
  • Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and adaptable.
  • Experience troubleshooting and training users on complex technical systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional weekends.
